Tallahassee, Fla. -
Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi delayed the execution of convicted murderer Marshall Lee Gore because it conflicted with a campaign fundraiser. According to records and reports by Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Bondi's office, Pam Bondi sent a request to Scott to delay the execution, but Gov. Scott was not told the reason.
Bondi has since admitted what she had done, apologized and said it would never happen again.
As a result, Gore will now be executed October 1 by lethal injection at Florida State Prison in Starke.
